Chester Library is running a series of poetry workshops which will develop ideas around the themes of “Serving Your Country”, “On the Home Front” and “Tender Loving Care”. The workshops provide a great opportunity for new and aspiring writers to work with Manchester based performance poet Dominic Berry. Participants will use archive material from the Cheshire Record Office and the Library to trigger their imagination.
The workshops will run from 6 to 8pm on the following Thursdays:
On Wednesday 30 July 7pm, there will be a celebration evening at the Library, when there will be a performance of some of the poetry that has been created. The workshops are free of charge, but participants must book a place, as space is limited. Please contact the Library on 01244 977380.
